About 2 million 18-wheel vehicles ply America’s roads and highways, part of a national logistics system that keeps goods moving in a never-ending flow. At the end of this flow is a rewarding moment: when the transported trailer is received and unloaded. Now, two North Texas companies are teaming up to take this process to the next level.

Fort Worth-based Advanced Intralogistics, a leading technology solutions provider and systems integrator founded in 2020, and Dallas-based AlphaOne Robotics, an advanced robotics and automation company launching in 2023, have joined forces to modernize inbound receiving and unloading trailers across North America.

The partnership focuses on the deployment of the AlphaOne Robotics Sigma Unloader. A robotic unloading solution, the Sigma Unloader is designed to solve a critical problem in materials handling: improving dock processes and throughput. Integrating the unloader into a warehouse has been shown to reduce labor and processing time by up to 85% compared to traditional methods, the companies said.

Advanced Intralogistics will serve as the preferred integrator for the Sigma Unloader with engineered configurations, conveyor and palletizer integration and Advanced Intralogistics’ full suite of aftermarket services.

The solution combines robotics and AI

The Sigma Unloader solution combines advanced robotics and artificial intelligence to identify and manage items removed from truck trailers, reducing the need for manual labor. In initial testing, Sigma demonstrated two to three times the throughput of unloaders currently on the market, the companies said.

“This collaboration aims to deliver measurable value and exceptional performance to our customers,” Anthony Pishotti, president of Advanced Intralogistics, said in a statement. “By integrating AlphaOne Robotics’ powerful AI-based Sigma Unloader into our end-to-end automation projects, we are giving logistics operators scalable and reliable solutions. »

“This solution addresses labor shortages, dock congestion and security risks, three of the most pressing operational challenges today,” he added.

Tim Criswell, co-founder and CEO of AlphaOne Robotics, highlighted the strategic alignment.

“At AlphaOne Robotics, we are committed to applying AI and robotics to the most challenging tasks in the warehouse,” Criswell said. “Advanced Intralogistics is uniquely positioned to help our technology scale. Their engineering, integration, installation and service capabilities make them an ideal partner as we expand into large enterprise environments. Advanced Intralogistics has the ability for us to expand our market reach as well as leverage their service network to support our North American launch of the Sigma Unloader.”

Together, the DFW-based companies said they look forward to accelerating innovation and bringing transformative AI-driven solutions to warehouse and parcel operations across North America.
