Apptronik climbs to $5 billion
The Austin-based humanoid robotics company raised $331.4 million in equity, the first part of a planned $500 million funding round. Investment has grown Apptronik Inc.a spin-off of Human-centered robotics laboratory at the University of Texas, at a valuation of $5 billion.
Function Health hits $2.5 billion valuation with new funding
Function Health Inc.an Austin-based personal healthcare startup, has raised nearly $300 million to develop AI-powered health tools. The round valued the company at $2.5 billion.

NinjaOne raises $500 million in new funding round
Earlier this year, an Austin-based IT and security startup NinjaOne LLC raised $500 million at a valuation of $5 billion. This round made NinjaOne one of the best-funded startups in Austin and nearly doubled its total investment from the previous year.
Ontic Secures $230M in One of the Largest Funding Rounds of the Year
Austin-based enterprise security and investigations startup Ontique Technologies Inc. raised $230 million in Series C funding this year, placing it among the Austin area’s largest fundraising rounds in 2025. Ontic develops threat intelligence and security platforms.

Base Power raises $1 billion in record funding round
Base Power Inc.one of Austin’s fastest-growing tech startups, raised the largest venture capital round in the city’s history earlier this year, securing approximately $1 billion in Series C funding. The energy storage and battery company temporarily took over the old Austin American-Statesman building near South Congress Avenue as it searches for a permanent warehouse and headquarters.

While Tesla and Waymo deployed driverless robotaxis in Austin, an autonomous vehicle startup Avride Inc. secured up to $375 million in new investments. The investment, which included support from Uber, will help the company launch robotaxi services in Dallas in the coming months through a partnership with the popular ride-hailing platform.

Saronic announces $600 million funding round
Saronique Technologies Inc.an Austin-based startup that develops autonomous drone boats, announced a $600 million funding round in February at a valuation of $4 billion. The company designed and manufactured its current fleet in Austin and is among the city’s fastest-growing startups.
Curative Achieves Unicorn Status With New Funding
After moving from COVID-19 testing to Austin-based health insurance technology Curative Inc. reached a valuation of $1.3 billion after a $150 million funding round in early December. The company employs approximately 700 people in Austin and remotely.

Anaconda secures $150 million in new venture capital
Anaconda inc.an Austin-based artificial intelligence startup, secured $150 million in new funding in July. The company develops an open source platform for creating AI products and is valued at at least $1.5 billion.
