Amid hype around the power of AI and its impact on business, it can be difficult for businesses to strategize. Sterling McKinley says technology doesn’t have to be intimidating.

McKinley, a corporate trainer at Clarity AI Solutions and an expert on using AI in small businesses, will be a speaker at Education Day at the next ASI Show in Orlando.

“AI is a game changer,” he says. “It’s all about being more efficient and saving time. And if you can save time, you can spend that time coming up with new ideas, new products and selling.”

AI also gives savvy businesses a competitive advantage, which is imperative in a crowded and rapidly changing marketplace. “It’s all about keeping up with your competitors,” he adds. “Your competitors are using AI, they are moving faster and making better decisions. If you want to be around in the next 10 to 15 years, you need to start using AI in your business.”

2h58: What to remember from McKinley’s sessions in Orlando

Key takeaways

• McKinley emphasizes that AI adoption is essential to gain efficiency, save time, and keep pace with competitors already leveraging AI.

• Many misconceptions come from the fear that AI will replace humans, but McKinley clarifies that AI acts as an assistant to speed up tasks and improve decision-making.

• Companies often hesitate due to lack of understanding. Breaking down what AI is and how it works helps reduce apprehension and encourages adoption.

• Instead of guessing what customers want, AI allows businesses to analyze data for smarter ideation, service and marketing strategies.

• McKinley’s courses at ASI Orlando – “5 Exciting Ways AI Can Help You Get More Customers” and “AI Demystified: The Non-Technical Guide to Using AI for Real Business Results” – will focus on practical workflows and use cases for effectively implementing AI.
