German forklift manufacturer Jungheinrich has acquired Atlanta-based Invar, a systems integrator for warehouse and fulfillment solutions, saying the move will strengthen Jungheinrich’s expansion in North America and grow its global presence and automation business.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Jungheinrich has taken the plunge via its subsidiary Storage Solutionsa warehouse and automation design consulting firm based in Indiana.
Founded in 2007, Invar has a proprietary Warehouse Execution System (WES) and a team of 50 professionalsserving a US customer base with a strategic focus on businesses seeking integrated warehouse design, advanced WES capabilities, comprehensive project execution and reliable after-sales service.
For Storage Solutions, the acquisition enables the scalable delivery of customized automation solutions focused on mobile AS/RS, positioning Jungheinrich as one of the leading integrators in this segment in North America and beyond. By integrating Invar, Storage Solutions expands its operational footprint with two new locations in Atlanta, Georgia, and Erlanger, Kentucky, ensuring direct access to new customer segments and local integration capabilities tailored to the U.S. market, Jungheinrich said.
Furthermore, the acquisition of Invar is another step in the implementation of Jungheinrich’s 2030+ strategy, which includes targeted investments in automation solutions and the expansion of North American operations.
