NX Taiwan Opens New Taoyuan NEXT8 Warehouse in Northern Taiwan

(President: Masaru Kawamoto, hereinafter “NX Taiwan”), a NIPPON EXPRESS HOLDINGS, INC. group company. (President: Satoshi Horikiri), began operations at the Taoyuan NEXT8 warehouse in Taoyuan City, northern Taiwan, marking the opening of the facility with a ceremony on Monday, September 15.

Located in northern Taiwan, Taoyuan City is an ideal location for a logistics base as it is home to Taoyuan International Airport, Taiwan’s main air transportation gateway, and provides excellent access to a major metropolitan area, Taipei Port, Keelung Port and other key infrastructure. Logistics demand in northern Taiwan, especially for auto parts and general consumer goods, has continued to grow in recent years, and NX Taiwan has built the Taoyuan NEXT8 warehouse as its sixth business location in the Taoyuan area to meet this growing demand. The facility brings together several buffer warehouses used primarily during peak seasons, thereby reducing the volume of lateral transfers and improving the quality of service.

The new warehouse has been equipped with state-of-the-art automated equipment to provide an environment where all employees can work comfortably and accurately. Automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), automatic guided vehicles (AGVs), and other automated equipment have been combined with human operation to provide centralized receiving, storage, picking, packing, and delivery services. A raised floor platform and three dock levelers can accommodate shipping containers and other shipping modes, while elevators, an autolator, heavy-duty racks and 24/7 security and surveillance cameras ensure safe and efficient operations. NX Taiwan can now offer even more efficient and higher quality logistics services as part of customers’ supply chains across a wide range of industries.

At the opening ceremony, President Kawamoto expressed his expectations for the new business location: “Taoyuan NEXT8 warehouse will play a leading role in Taiwan’s development, worthy of the “8” in its name symbolizing prosperity. We will support our customers’ supply chains by strengthening our logistics network across Taiwan and further expanding our logistics systems.
