After seeing Generation AI’s impressive capabilities demonstrated at a conference, CEO Jeannie Weiss is excited to put them to work at her digital marketing company, PulsePoint. A cutting-edge salesbot would allow it to reduce its staff while providing more efficient and personalized service to its customers. Two of its senior executives, however, have qualms, as does its biggest client. But if it slows down the project, will rivals who are moving faster on the AI ​​generation open up a huge lead over PulsePoint?

“It’s so nice to feel excited about something again,” Jeannie Weiss told John Bart, her chief technology officer. The two were in an Uber on their way to the Austin airport after attending an AI conference together. Jeannie’s fingers tapped the side of the car to the rhythm of the folk music on the radio. “I have the impression that we have been on the defensive for five years with Covid, the tight job market, inflation. I’m ready to go on the offensive again.
