Ancient Optus streaming boss Clive Dickens has launched a $3 million ($4.2 million) investment fund targeting CTO-led, AI-focused startups in the telecommunications, media and technology sectors.
The fund will be managed by Dickens’ consultancy Meliora, created last yearand aims to make between 15 and 20 investments over the next 20 months.
“This will hopefully be one of five funds over the coming years,” he said. Summary of the capital.
“They’ll start small, with a fund of less than $5 million, and then hopefully over time we’ll put more zeroes on that. Because we have all of our financial services licenses in place, that allows us to hit the ground running really quickly.”
