Included Health has expanded its all-in-one healthcare platform with the launch of Dot, an AI intelligent assistant designed to provide ongoing, personalized support with clinicians remaining closely engaged. Over the past year, the company has refined and deployed Dot to large US employers, processing more than 10 billion AI tokens. Dot integrates with member-specific data including medical records, claims, benefit details, usage trends and social factors, enabling personalized guidance regarding clinical, financial and administrative needs.
The assistant functions as a single entry point for navigating care, coverage and costs, spanning physical, behavioral, acute and chronic health services, while maintaining structured escalation to human clinicians when necessary. Nupur Srivastava, Chief Operating Officer at Included Health, noted: “Unlike consumer chatbots that offer generic advice, Dot operates on a deep understanding of each member – drawing on medical data, claims and benefits information to provide truly personalized advice.
Chief Health Officer Ami Parekh, MD, described Dot as an integral part of the company’s care model, saying, “Dot is part of a team that is building a new era of trust and opportunity for better healthcare. » In the future, Included Health plans to use Dot to incentivize preventive screenings, improve benefits utilization, support care plan adherence, implement its Healthy Days program and manage tasks such as appointment scheduling, improving outcomes while reducing costs for employers and health plans.
