Nvidia Expands Partnerships in India as Part of $1 Billion National AI Initiative Focused on Sovereign Models, Startup Funding and Research – NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA)

Nvidia Corp. (NASDAQ:NVDA) is expanding its presence in India through government, academic and venture partnerships aligned with the country’s billion-dollar AI effort.

IndiaAI mission aims for sovereign expansion of AI and computing

On Tuesday, Nvidia detailed the collaborations supporting the IndiaAI Missiona national program investing more than $1 billion to build computing capacity, develop sovereign data sets, and create cutting-edge AI models and applications.

Nvidia works with the Anusandhan National Research Foundationa statutory body that promotes research and development, to accelerate AI research in science and engineering.

As part of the partnership, select institutions will receive free access to Nvidia AI Enterprise software and technical mentorship through Nvidia’s AI Technology Center, as well as bootcamps and hackathons aimed at expanding research capabilities.

Venture capital alliances to support Indian AI startups

THE Jensen Huang-The managed company also collaborates with leading venture capital firms, including Peak XV Partners And Accelerate Indiato identify and support AI startups with high potential.

More than 4,000 Indian startups are already part of Nvidia’s Inception program.

Nvidia expands its global presence while doubling its presence in the United States

The move follows reports last month that the Taiwanese government had approved Nvidia’s plan to invest NT$3.3 billion ($105 million) in a new headquarters on the island.

At the same time, the Donald Trump administration urges Nvidia to focus on USA based manufacturing and national priorities.

President Trump has repeatedly emphasized the importance of bringing chip production back to the United States for national security and job growth.

Jensen Huang canceled at the last minute

Huang canceled his planned appearance at the current show India AI Impact Summit at the last minute.

At a press briefing on Tuesday, when asked why Huang canceled his trip, Vishal Dhupargeneral manager for South Asia at Nvidia, explained that the CEO had been traveling for three weeks straight and had fallen ill.

“He is not in good shape,” Dhupar said, adding that they were happy to have Jay Puriexecutive vice president of global field operations, to lead the delegation to India.

Price action: Nvidia shares rose 1.201% during Tuesday’s regular session. It gained another 0.52% after hours, according to Benzinga Pro.

Nvidia shows a strong long-term price trend but a short-to-medium term downward trend, coupled with a low value ranking, according to Benzinga’s Edge Stock Rankings.
