The January 22 virtual event “AI in Action: Skills and Strategies for a New Era of Nursing” will share practical, career-relevant tips that nurses can apply now

PHOENIX, January 16, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — The University of Phoenix and LinkedIn will host a free webinar, “AI in Action: Skills and Strategies for a New Era of Nursing,” on Thursday, January 22 at 11 a.m. PT / 12 p.m. Arizona / 2 p.m. ET. Designed for nurses and healthcare professionals facing rapid change, the 60-minute session will explore the practical ways artificial intelligence is reshaping healthcare, as well as the essential skills nurses can develop to stay ready for the future.

In a national survey of 7,200 nurses led by McKinsey and the American Nurses Foundation, 36% of nurses surveyed ranked “lack of knowledge about how to use AI-based technology and tools” among their top three concerns about AI in healthcare, highlighting the need for nurses to develop AI knowledge and assessment skills.

“Artificial intelligence is rapidly moving from concept to everyday reality in healthcare,” said Raelene Brooks, Ph.D., RN, Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Phoenix. “This webinar focuses on practical skills, real-world examples, and considerations nurses need to keep in mind as AI tools influence clinical and administrative workflows. »
