Automation specialist Vanderlande has completed the acquisition of Siemens Logistics in the United States. This follows receipt of all required regulatory approvals.

This step completes the acquisition of the Siemens Logistics business worldwide, which – with a separate transaction – began last year in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Driven by the growing demand for automated logistics solutionsVanderlande’s airport offerings are now expanded and strengthened with the inclusion of US operations.

By integrating U.S. operations, Vanderlande can pursue the strategic objectives created by the acquisition of Siemens Logistics, which expands its ability to support airport customers with a broader and more complementary suite of solutions. Siemens Logistics’ expertise in baggage and cargo handling improved Vanderlande‘s established capabilities, enabling the combined organization to provide more responsive local support, richer technical expertise and a faster pace of innovation.

“This marks an important milestone for Vanderlande,” said Andrew ManshipPresident and CEO of Vanderlande. “We are excited to welcome the Siemens Logistics team to the United States and together continue the journey we have already started in providing smarter, future-ready automation solutions to our airport customers.

With the acquisitions in Europe, Asia and in the Middle East as well as the United States, Vanderlande is well positioned to accelerate the deployment of advanced technologies, strengthen its global service network and capture new opportunities in the airport automation market. This latest step establishes a solid platform for long-term sustainable growth, built on the solid foundations of its airport business.
